Paris born and Dubai-based, Cyril Zammit started his career in 1991 at the Institut Français in Prague, before relocating to London, to the Cultural department of the French Embassy.
In 1998, he became the sponsorship manager of the Montreux Jazz Festival, before joining the UBS International Sponsorship Team in 2000 to manage the partnership of Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach.
From 2005 to 2009, Cyril was Marketing & Communications Senior Manager at HSBC Private Bank (Suisse), as , where he signed and managed the sponsorship of Design Miami. He then moved to the UAE first with Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), as Senior Sponsorship & Funding Manager.
In 2012, Cyril created Design Days Dubai the first fair entirely dedicated to collectible and limited edition design in MENASA before launching the first two editions of Dubai Design Week in 2015.
Since February 2017, Cyril Zammit has established himself as independent design advisor and consultant with mandates at Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (2017-2020), the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2020-2022).
Since March 2022, Cyril is a strategic consultant for the Uzbekistan Art & Culture Foundation. In December 2022, he started a role of invited instructor for the Ithra Academy in Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
